Preparing for NXN - Brandon Clark

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and break.

 

Over the break I ran the Turkey Day 5k with teammate Zach “Mad at Brandon for not giving him a shout-out in the last post” Edinburgh. Despite starting the race a few minutes late and weaving through the mass of runners, we still managed to run a solid time of 26:00.

 

On Sunday I had my last “hard” workout before the race (the first few 400s at race pace and then dropping the pace a 1-2 seconds for each set).  I ran the workout with Kieran Kelly who was fresh off of his week off and still survived running most of the nine 400s.  Unfortunately we do not have a picture of Kieran doing his best Sonic the Hedgehog impersonation. 

 

Today I ran 7 easy miles with the Chanhassen guys.  As for workouts for the rest of the week, I get to run a few faster than race pace 200s on Wednesday and just keep the miles up until the race.  I look forward to running with Josh at the Nike campus on Thursday as well as running the race course on Friday.
