Minnetonka
Minnetonka is poised for greatness in 2017. Returning all 7 girls from their 3rd-place team is already enough to point to to make that claim. Leading the way for the Minnetonka girls is Sophie Whicher, who finished 5th at last year's State meet. But even then, they will have a battle to make it out of the "Section of Death." As we all know, in any other section, Minnetonka would be a virtual lock to return to State. But as things stand, we could very well be in a position where arguably the 3rd-best team in Class AA is left at home. It's simply going to come down to who has the better day at sections.
