The Skinny: 13 boys have broken 17:00 this season, so the race should be fairly crowded up front. However, many of the runners attending set these marks at the extremely fast Owatonna Ev Berg Invitational, so this race should reveal how much of an effect that course had on times. Look for Winona's dynamic duo of Briggs and Brand, to be fighting for the win en route to a fairly easy victory for the Winhawks.

The Skinny: This meet will feature of battle of heavyweights. Christopherson was 6th at last year's Class A State Meet, while Malone and Orvis are ranked 6th and 7th in Class A, respectively. Lewis and Mullenburg have also been running well, and should be leading the chase pack. Fans will also get to see the 1st-ranked Stewartville girls right as they should be starting to peak, as they're led by Orvis and Malone.
