Top Teams: Holdingford (54), Becker (59)

Top Individuals: Jake Andres (Pierz, 16:54), Brent Heinen (Rocori, 17:09), Basil Ricker (Becker, 17:10), Elijah Weiss (Albany, 17:14)

The Skinny: Jake Andres became the field Pierz athlete to qualify for State in over a decade last year, and he;s looking much better this year. He has two wins under his belt and could very-well get a third today. The team battle will be very tight, but Holdingford is exected to pull this one out in our virtual meet thanks to a much spread than Becker (43 seconds versus 75 seconds)

GIRLS

Top Teams: Becker (25 points), Rocori (57), Albany (72)

Top Individuals: Victoria Kolbinger (Becker, 19:29), Allison Hendrickson (Becker, 19:33), Cheresa Bouley (Zimmerman, 19:34), Kristine Kalthoff (Albany, 19:42)

The Skinny: Class AA's 11th-ranked Becker has been having a fantastic season as a team, and should run the table in this meet. Kolbinger and Hendrickson both work really well off each other, but Hendrickson has been the stronger runner in most races this year. Still, the favorite might very well be Albany's All-State freshman Kristine Kalthoff, who has finished in the top five of all five of her races and methodically improved her season best each time, continuing a trend from her first two years.
