Location: Long Prairie Country Club

Weather: Mid 40s around race time; cloudy with chance of showers

BOYS

Top Teams (Average)Breckenridge/Wahpeton (113), West Central Area (119), Staples-Motley (131)

Top Teams (Best Time)West Central Area (85), Breckenridge/Wahpeton (129), Holdingford (146)

Top Individuals: Jacob Bright (West Central; 16:10), Emmet Anderson (Staples-Motley; 16:14), Hunter Gowin (Breckenridge; 16:41), Zach Haire (Breckenridge; 16:48)

The Skinny: If our virtual meets are any indication, West Central and Breckenridge will be in a close battle for the team title, but which one is favored may depend on which method you prefer. But that is also depending on Hunter Gowin running, which he has not in Breckenridge's past few meets, so if he is unable to run, then Staples-Motley and Holdingford will both have their shots as well. Individually, Emmet Anderson is having a remarkable freshman season and has improved nearly every meet. He just defeated Jacob Bright pretty handily at Park Rapids, so he coming in as the favorite.

GIRLS

Top Teams (Average): Eden Valley-Watkins (70), West Central Area (77), Albany (98)

Top Teams (Best Time)West Central Area (52), Eden Valley-Watkins (60), Albany (92)

Top Individuals: Lexi Bright (West Central; 19:21), Kristine Kalthoff (Albany; 19:42), Kira Sweeney (Staples-Motley; 19:44), Bryn Fernholz (West Central; 20:17), Teagen Nelson (West Central; 20:17)

The Skinny: Eden Valley-Watkins and West Central Area are the two team favorites here. It will likely only be a few points separating the two teams for the title. Lexi Bright of West Central, and Kristine Kalthoff will compete for the individual title. Kira Sweeney of Staples has raced well this year as well despite missing some time with injury, and she could be in contention for a spot in the top three.
