What are all your personal records?

100-11.30
200-23.00
400-49.38
800-1:59
1600-4:40
5k-16:50

How did you get started as a track or cross country athlete?

I started running track in 6th grade just for something to do, and then I quit football my freshman year to run CC.

What was your most memorable competition?

Racing in the 400 at State last year, and getting first place in the 4x800, 400, 4x400, and overall as a team this year at Sections.

Who were your competitor in your track/XC career?

In track, definitely my teammates because they are incredible athletes. Also Charlie Voller and I have had some very memorable races. As a team in cross country, the team from Sartell gave us a huge run for our money and we barely beat them on a tiebreaker.

What was your greatest accomplishment as a track/XC athlete?

Breaking the school records and placing last year at State in the 400 and 4x400, and doing it again at Hamline with the 4x800 as well. Also, going to State for the 5 straight year in CC was also a huge accomplishment.

If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your track/XC high school?

Well, making it longer than 4 years would be great.

How have your coaches been an influence to you as an athlete and a person?

They pushed me and expected the best out of me everyday.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

My sophomore year we were racing the 4x400 at true team, and I was anchoring against David Supinski from Brainerd who was very fast. With about 50 meters left I couldn't hang on anymore and I tripped and ate it on the track. I managed to get back up and then I got trucked by another runner. I hurt my hip really badly but I finished the race, and ever since that moment I've used that moment as motivation to get better and better because it was extremely embarrassing and painful to get beat like that.

What will you miss the most about high school track/XC?

My teammates and just the overall great atmosphere.

What advice would you give to younger athletes?

Just to never quit; you can be one of the worst runners on the team throughout middle school and the beginning of high school like I was, but as long as you keep working the results will be worth it.

What are your post-graduation plans?

I am going to be running track and field at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.

Who would you like to say 'thank you' to?

Ryan Aylesworth and Steve Sneide our coaches, they never gave up on me and continued to push me throughout High school

Is there anything else you'd like to add?
