Of the 5 sprint events, 3 men's champions and 3 women's champions will be returning to attempt to repeat at the state meet. These events are highlighted by Marlon Wiley, only .01 off the Class A 100m dash state meet record last year, T'nia Riley in both the 100m and 200m dash (only .03 seconds off the Class A 100m dash state meet record), and Reid Pierzinski in both the 110m Hurdles and 300m Hurdles. Many of these athletes are very versatile as we see people such as Pierzinski and many others not only competing in multiple events but vying for the state title. With fast times on the way and younger runners coming into form, get excited to watch these athletes progress through the upcoming track season.
