Macy Iyer of Edina High School started off her 2021 Track & Field season a little early by competing at the CYUP Misfits Invitational in Chicago, Illinois. Iyer ran in both the 1600m and 3200m where she set PRs for both events on any indoor or outdoor surface.
Iyer ran a 5:21.87 for the 1600m and 11:21.30 for the 3200m. Iyer will be looking to break into that next elite group of runners on the track, and judging by her cross country results, she has the talent to do it.

This is the first time we've seen Iyer on the track since May of 2019. That season she set personal bests in the 1600m and 3200m while winning the 1600m Lake Conference Championship.
