Delaney Smith is the top-ranked girl's returner from 2019 in the shot put and discus in for the MSHSL. At the last MSHSL State Championship, she finished fifth in the discus and third in the shot put. After state, she went on to finish third in the emerging elite girls' shot put and ninth in the hammer throw at New Balance Nationals Outdoors.
