Every week our current and former MSHSL athletes do noteworthy things that aren't always highlighted or known about. This new weekly article will highlight those athletes that have done notable things on the track, outside of school, on the roads, and anywhere in between. We have so many amazing current and former athletes, and we'd love to highlight every single one if we could.

Morgan Jones
Saint Paul Highland Park High School
Class of 2021
Jones broke the SPHP school record in the shot put with a throw of 39' 0" at the St. Paul City Conference meet on May 25th. The old record was held by Morgan Stampley with a throw of 38' 11.5". Jones has gone undefeated in the shot put this season, and her mark of 39' 0" is the 9th best in the state this season.

Molly Moening and Luna Scorzelli
Saint Paul Highland Park High School
Class of 2022/2024
Moening has already broken the Highland Park 1600m multiple times this season, on May 19th at the Highland Park, Johnson, Humboldt Tri, both Moening and Scorzelli broke the school record in the 1600m. The old record set by Moening was 5:05.59 and at the meet, Moening ran a 4:53.70 and Scorzelli ran a 4:59.00. They are the only two girls teammates in the state to both run a sub 5 minutes 1600m this season.
Jesse Middendorf
Melrose Area High School
Class of 2018
Concordia College
Middendorf a former 800m state champion, can now add All-American to his resume. At the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships he finished 5th in the 800m with a time of 1:52.53. This was his first trip to a national meet. He is the first Concordia 800m man to be an All-American since Greg Defor in 1988.
Paige Woldt
Mounds View High School
Class of 2017
St. Olaf College
Woldt finished 7th at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the triple jump to become an All-American. She finished with a jump of 38' 2.25" to finish first in her heat, and 2' 5.25 behind winner Isabel Maletich of the University of Chicago. This was Woldt's first loss all season in the triple jump.

Maple Grove / Holdingford
Class of 2018 / 2017
Saint Johns University
Schindler finished fourth at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the pole vault to earn All-American honors. He finished with a new personal best vault of 16' 0.75" He finished 8 inches behind the champion Noah Zastrow of UW-Stout.
Dockendorf was just behind Schindler with a vault of 15' 11" to finish in 6th place and also become an All-American.
Jordan Hecht
Rosemount High School
Class of 2023
Hecht broke the 42-year-old Rosemount school record for the discus when she logged a throw of 138' 10" to break the old record of 138' 4" held by Stephanie Scholtes from 1979. This gives her the best throw in the state this season, and the 12th best throw in her class nationally.
Levi Richter
Perham High School
Class of 2022
Richter broke the Perham school record in the pole vault with a vault of 13' 10". The previous record of 13' 9" was held by Eli Beachy from 2014. Richters vault is the 8th best in the state this season.

Parent broke the UND school record in the triple jump with a jump of 39' 2.25" to finish 6th at the Summit League Outdoor Championships.
Deveyonn Brown
Prior Lake High School
Class of 2016
Minnesota State University, Mankato
Brown became a Division II ALl-American in the high-jump at the Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a jump of 6' 9.75". His jump was good enough for a 5th place finish, and 3.75 inches away from the 1st place finisher.
