Another Streit is heading to be a Gopher, and this time it's throwing star Hadley Streit. The reigning Class AAA state champion in the shot put, Streit, tossed a personal record throw to win the meet, a toss of over 41 feet. She is also a standout discus thrower with four throws over 120 feet last season.

Coach Peter Miller on Streit: "Hadley is an athlete I have had my eye on for a very long time.  She has attended our summer camp for many years, and every year has come back better.  She comes from a great Gopher family, as her brother Austin runs for the men's team and I believe she is the 5th generation of her family to attend the University of Minnesota.  Hadley is an incredible student and a fierce competitor.  I can't wait to welcome her into the throws group and see her challenge everyone on the team to do great things."
