The #2 ranked Perham boys and #12 ranked Perham girls defended their Heart of the Lakes conference titles at the Hawley Golf Course yesterday. This is the 10th straight title for the boys, and 8th straight for the girls.

The Perham boys dominated the field with their 5 scoring runners all finishing in the top 10. Brady Speicher (Perham) led from the start, winning the conference title with a time of 16:50.56. Perham boys also one the Junior Varsity race; Hawley won the Junior High race by 3 points over Perham.

Perham and Warroad battled it out for the conference title with Perham taking the crown, scoring 58 points to Warroad's 64. Emily Bakken (Pelican Rapids) won the girl's race with a time of 16:10.58. Warroad's top finisher was Gretta Brunelle, taking 3rd with a time of 16:24.45 and Perham's top finisher was Cassie Beseman taking 8th with a time of 16:50.48. Perham also won the Junior Varsity and Junior High races to sweep the meet.
