And just like that, a door closes.

I have been extremely sick since Saturday, dealing with swollen glands, 103 fever, headaches and overall exhaustion.  Thus I have elected to not run Footlocker Regionals, even though my health is on the rise.

There’s no saying I would have qualified, in fact my chances weren’t that great, but to not have the chance to try is pretty demoralizing.  All I know is that I’m more motivated than ever to run the race of my life at NXN.

That being said, my training up until I got sick was going great.  My workout with Brandon went well on Saturday, doing a four mile progressive run in 22:24.  It’s frustrating to be missing time now but at least I’ve got time to get back into it.

Other than that, life’s been dece.  Pretty boring at the ole Thorson homestead.  Watching Stargate SG-1 and the Sing Off can only get you so far before you start talking to your cat more than your parents.

Well, that’s all I’ve got.  I’ll give another update soon.

Stay classy, my friends.

Josh Thorson
