Cross-Country: Lake City girls, ZM/KW boys win HVL; Trost wins another title

After losing a heartbreaker in last year’s Hiawatha Valley League championship meet, the Lake City girls cross-country team wasn’t going to let up again. Led by top 10 times from Sidney Renelt and Becca Goertzen, the Tigers won the HVL with a team score of 56, edging last year’s champion, Rochester Lourdes, by 14 points. Stewartville (101), Cannon Falls (110) and La Cresscent (142) rounded out the top five. At Oaks Golf Course in Hayfield. (via Republican Eagle)
