Roy Griak Invitational 2007

The match-up set for the Roy Griak Invitational, at the University of Minnesota Saturday, of Katie Flood (So., Dowling Catholic, IA) v. Emily Sisson (So., Millard North, NE), promised to be one to remember.  However, the race will be remembered not as a great battle between two nationally elite runners, but rather a coming out party of sorts for Flood. 

Emily Sisson (So., Millard North, NE) finished third at Foot Locker Nationals in 2006.  Katie Flood (So., Dowling Catholic, IA) proved to be one of the finest runners last year despite not running in any national championship races.  Lindsey Anderson (Sr., Leeds, ND) receives less press than Sisson and Flood, but is equally as accomplished, after earning All-American status at Foot Locker Nationals.  All three girls are amazing.  All three girls should make Foot Locker Nationals and finish as All-Americans.  All three girls compete against each other at the Roy Griak Invitational this weekend in St. Paul, Minnesota.  What a match up!
