Five Meets We Hope Don't Get Cancelled...

Weather: 70, cloudy with a chance of showers in the afternoon

BOYS

Virtual Meet Projection: Saint Peter (71), LeSueur-Henderson (71)

Top Individuals: Lane Schwarz (LeSueur-Henderson, 16:41), Bailey More (Saint Peter, 16:51), Evan Lee (Mayer Lutheran, 17:00), Mohammed Yaya (Saint Peter, 17:17), Connor Hallaway (Glencoe Silver Lake, 17:28)

The Skinny: The two seniors Lane Schwartz (LeSueur-Henderson), and Bailey More (Saint Peter) will look to  duel it out for first place as Evan Lee (Lester Prairie) is clicking on their heels with a PR not too far behind. As the virtual meet suggests the top-2 teams are certainly predicted to be in a battle. However, the sleeper in this meet may be the hometown heroes of Glencoe-Silver Lake who are only 5 points behind in the virtual meet predictor, and that home-course advantage may serve them well. Just like in the girls race  hopefully the weather holds up, as it looks like it could shape out to be peak running weather as the wind is minimal and the temperature down.

GIRLS

Virtual Meet Projection: LeSueur-Henderson (43), Glencoe-Silver Lake (55)

Top Individuals: Izzy Lind (Saint Peter, 19:14), Victoria Flores (LeSueur-Henderson, 19:46), Malayh Metcalf (Glencoe-Silver Lake, 19:56), Arlett Rios (LeSueur-Henderson, 20:31), Hadley Stuehrenberg (Saint Peter, 20:38)

The Skinny: Izzy Lind the junior is leading the charge with over a 30 second PR on the rest of the field, with the senior Victoria Flores following her, and the freshman Malayh Metcalf representing the hometown not far behind. This is a smaller meet with 7 teams competing, but the race for first between Lesuer-Henderson, and Glencoe-Silver Lake should be  exciting, and thrilling. Let's hope that the weather holds up, because if it does this should be peak running weather as the wind is quite tame, and the temperature is dropping.
