Noah Stewart will head into the 2019 cross country season having taken a leap forward in both the 1600 and 3200m this spring. He went sub 4:30 (4:26.88) and sub 9:50 (9:44.81) respectively and posted a solid fourth place 1600m finish in his first appearance in the Track State Meet. His path to bouncing back from an off-day at the State Meet includes a very crowded 6A Sectional with many of the state's top individuals and teams in his way. Every year someone just outside the pool of favorites surprises everyone and with his jump on the track in 2019, Stewart and his 17th ranked XC PR of 16:25.70 could be just that athlete.
