MileSplit Minnesota caught up with Stanford University and Class of 2004 Winona (MN) High School graduate Garrett Heath recently to talk about his prep and college career, as well as his best professional moments and his future looking ahead. You won six state titles in high school in track and cross country. Do you remember winning your first state title?

I remember it well. Those are the sort of memories you never forget.

It was my junior year XC season and potentially the most fit I ever was in high school entirely.
