8 Bold Prediction for the MSHSL State Track and Field Meet

Both Analee Weaver and Isabella Roemer will Run Top-Five All-Time 3200m times

What might happen when one of Minnesota's all-time best girls distance runners (Weaver) faces off against one of the season breakout stars (Roemer). Weaver and Roemer are the owners of the two fastest 3200m times in the state this season with a 10:24.09 10:28.10. They are the only two Minnesota girls to run sub 10:30 this season. They have never faced off on the track, both girls have already posted all-time great marks in the 3200m this season as seen below:

Emily Covert 10:01.67
Bria Wetsch 10:06.95
Elizabeth Yetzer 10:08.54
Clare Flanagan 10:17.14
Lauren Ping 10:19.66
Shannon Bergstedt 10:20.67
Analee Weaver 10:24.09
Maria Hauger 10:24.32
Jamie Piepenburg 10:24.57
Danielle Anderson 10:24.69
Anna Fenske 10:26.19
Bethany Hasz 10:26.40
Lisa Dyer 10:27.80
Isabella Roemer 10:28.10
Emily Castanias 10:28.58

In a deep Class AA field that has seven girls that have run a sub 11:00 minute 3200m this season, we would expect the girls to all push each other, and most of the girls might come away with PRs if that happens. For both of them to occupy the top 5 spots on the all-time list, Weaver needs to shave off 7 seconds to occupy fourth place and Roemer needs to shave off about 8.5 seconds. Definitely possible with a fast field and good weather.
