We are at about the halfway point in the season now, and we have had many remarkable Minnesota runners this season! After the excitement of the Milaca Mega Meet and Roy Griak last week, we had a slower week, but still had some amazing performances!
This poll will be for performances from September 27th to October 3rd.
Each will there will be four boys and four girls for each poll. Participants are based on the MileSplit Minnesota staff's opinions. The rest is up to you!

Finn McCormick ran his first-ever sub 16:00 5K to win the Dakota County Fairgrounds Invitational to beat out teammate Henry Karelitz and take the win with a time of 15:57.50. This is a new personal best beating his old PR of 16:03 from a year ago.
Freshman Salvador Wirth won his fifth straight meet of the season with a new personal best time of 16:09.70, to beat his old PR by 9 seconds. He was able to beat out fellow freshman Owen Chapman at this meet by 8 seconds.
Sam Deutz ran a state-best time for an eighth-grader at the Redwood Valley Invite to take second place overall with a time of 17:08.40. This is a 21 second personal best for Deutz and the best time by an eighth-grader by 10 seconds over Charlie Bortnem.
Emmett Gerres matched his personal best 5K time of 15:39 this week and had the fastest time in Minnesota while winning his fifth meet of the season. He has run a sub 16:00 5K in five of his seven races this season.
Iris Guider ran her best 5K since 2019 last week at the Dakota County Fairgrounds Invitational to take first place with a time of 18:30.10. She won by almost a minute over Marianah Scott. This is her fastest 5K since the 2019 NXN Heartland meet.
Nora Hanson defended her home turf at the Red Wing Invitational and came away with the win and a big seasonal best for the talented eighth-grader. Hanson ran a 19:38 to take the win by 22 seconds and was the only girl to run a sub 20 minute 5K at the meet.
Calia Chaney went sub 19:00 for the first time this season en route to a win at the Foley Falcon Invitational. She ran an 18:28.68 to win by 39 seconds over Hailee Zimpel. This was a 4 second PR over her old personal best from back in 2019.
Olivia Goebel ran a lifetime best time of 18:27.20 to take third place at the Willmar Invitational behind freshman phenoms Sydney Drevlow and Daphne Grobstein. This was an 18 second PR for Goebel.
