Most Dominant MN Girls Track and Field Athletes of All-Time

Ruby Stauber (800m)

The most dominant Minnesota girls runner of all-time for a singular event has to be Wayzata's Ruby Stauber. Stauber owns the top ten 800m marks of all-time in Minnesota. She is the only girl in state history to run the 800m in under 2:08 and she holds the state record with a time of 2:03.43. Currently, she holds the 21st best mark nationally of all-time of all performances in the MileSplit database. Overall Stauber won two Class AA state championships in the 800m.

Of note, if we had all recorded 800m times in all of state history in our database, Jeanne Kruckeberg of Blooming Prairie would enter the top ten at 8th overall with her time of 2:08.24 in 1984.
