Most Dominant MN Girls Track and Field Athletes of All-Time

Emily Covert (3200m)

Look at the 3200m all-time rankings below and you'll see that Emily Covert dominates the list en route to owning half of the top ten 3200m times of all-time in Minnesota state history. She has 5 of the top 7 times of all-time, including the top two 3200m times of all-time in Minnesota. Amazingly, Covert ran all five of those 3200m times during the 2018 season in her 5 3200m races she ran that season at the Hamline Elite Meet, True Team, Sections, Conference, and State. No one came close to her after the Hamline Elite Meet where then 7th grader Lauren Ping was 8 seconds behind her.

Later on in that 2018 season, Covert ran at the 2018 New Balance Outdoor Nationals where she ran a 10:05.19 to finish 2nd behind Madelynn Denner in the 2-mile. That would convert to a 10:01.67 3200m.
