Luke Emmerich, Monticello High School
Class of 2025
---
This is Emmerich's second appearance in the Future Stars series, after featuring in last weeks article for his performances at the North Branch Quad. At the North Branch Quad, he set new outdoor PRs in the 100m dash, high jump, and long jump. He is tops in Minnesota in most events he has competed in for his class.
He still owns the top long jump mark and 400m time for his class and is tied for 2nd for the high jump. He most recently competed at the Hamline Elite Meet where he finished 2nd overall in the boy's long jump with a mark of 21' 4.75".
He was one of two freshman boys to compete at the 2022 Hamline Elite Meet, the other being Roseville's Robert Mechura. They were the youngest boys competitors at the meet (without looking at each relay team).
Emmerich has the 4th best long jump all-time for a Minnesota boys freshmen. He also ranks 7th among his class nationally for the long jump.
