The Labor Day weekend was the unofficial start of what is going to be an exhilarating cross country season.

Despite it being only the first weekend of September, some athletes didn't wait long to drop remarkable times and enter the national conversation. 

Whether it was fast times earned in the Texas heat or grueling races at altitude, the first big weekend of high school cross country produced more than enough excitement.
