Juriad Hughes Jr. Goes MN #12 All-Time in the 200m

Known more for his long jump records coming into the season, Juriad Hughes Jr. has shot up the all-time rankings in Minnesota in the sprint events this season an has suddenly become one of Minnesota's all-time great sprinters. At the Suburban East Conference Championships, he won the 200m title with a new PR of 21.36, a time which ranks him 12th all-time in Minnesota.

Jack Markstrom Enters the Top-20 All-Time

A senior at Mound-Westonka, Jack Markstrom with a strong performance at the WCC East Conference Championships, entered the top-20 times of all-time in Minnesota for the 400m with his new PR of 48.26. With his dominant performance, Markstrom won his race by over four seconds. He has now won four 400m titles on the season, with his only loss coming at the Hamline Elite Meet.

Kyei-baffour Stars in 2024

Coming in with a solid 110m hurdles PR of 15.24 coming into the season, Rochester Century star Joshua Kyei-baffour has turned heads with his performances his junior season. At the Big 9 Conference Championships, he won the 110m hurdles title with a time of 14.22, a 0.28 second PR, and a new #1 wind-legal time in Minnesota this season. With his huge PR, he also now ranks #12 all-time in Minnesota.

Owatonna Runs #2 All-Time 4x200m Relay

It was a huge day at the Big 9 Conference Championships for the Owatonna boys 4x200m relay of Garrett Karsten, Nolan Ginskey, Lucas Webber, and Keanan Larson, running the #1 4x200m time all-time in Minnesota. Their time of 1:26.37, is just one of four times in state history under 1:27, and they rank only behind the 2019 Hopkins boys team led by future Olympian Joseph Fahnbulleh.

Dylan Gross Makes Throws History at Conference

Competing in the shot put and discus at the Central Lakes Conference Meet, Brainerd Senior Dylan Gross made some throws history in winning both events with historic marks. In the shot put, Gross finished with a mark of 61' 0.75', to become just the 18th individual in throw over 61 feet in state history. His new PR there now ranks him 16th all-time in Minnesota. He also made history in the discus, with a throw of 180' 5", becoming just the 24th individual to throw over 180 feet. He now ranks 22nd all-time in the discus for Minnesota.
