ST. PAUL — Sometimes even your best isn’t quite good enough to put you on the top of the victory stand, but it’s important to maintain a proper perspective. The Luverne High School girls 4x800-meter relay team had that lesson firmly learned Saturday at the Minnesota state Class A meet. (via Daily Globe)

PIPESTONE — On a nearly perfect day for high school track and field competition, athletes from across Section 3A sought to perform their best Thursday at Paulsen Field in hopes of qualifying for next week’s Minnesota State Meet at Hamline University, June 8-9. (via )

The Minnesota State High School League Track and Field State Tournament will be hosted at Klas Field on the Hamline University campus on June 10-11, 2011. On June 10th the meet will begin with the Class AA 3200 race, followed by preliminary heats in several events. Field events will also begin at 9am. The Class A athletes will take the field at 3pm closing with the finals in the 3200 meter run at 4:50 pm (girls) and 5:05 pm (boys). This also marks the first MSHSL State Track and Field Meet with wheelchair events. Below is a quick preview into each event by class.

The State Cross Country Coaches' Association has named their final team and individual rankings for the 2010 season.
