It's Championships Galore On Conference Tuesday!

Weather: Sunny; high of 70 with temperature in the mid-60s around race time

BOYS

Top Teams: La Crescent (40), Plainview-Elgin-Millville (46), Saint Charles (96)

Top Individuals: Matt Steiger (La Crescent; 15:52), Nick Meyer (Wabasha-Kellogg; 16:39), Axel Daood (Saint Charles; 17:07), Samson Hagen (Plainview; 17:10), Thomas Lechnir (La Crescent; 17:14)

The Skinny: Matt Steiger has been a consistent well-oiled machine this season, soloing a series of sub-16 efforts week in and week out so expect the same here as he will likely take this win by a large margin. Closest behind is Nick Meyer of Wabasha-Kellogg and Axel Daood of Saint Charles, both of who have averaged in the mid to low 17-minute range this year. The boys from La Crescent will hope to take this win over the boys from Plainview. Our projections have four of La Crescent's runners in the top ten and four of Plainview's in the top 15 so it could be close!

GIRLS

Top Teams: Dover-Eyota (51), Winona Cotter (54), Chatfield (95)

Top Individuals: Grace Ping (Winona Cotter; 17:45), Lauren Ping (Winona Cotter; 18:21), Kaylee Arndt (Lanesboro; 20:03), Madilyn Simon (Plainview; 20:06), Annika Juenemann (Dover-Eyota; 20:30)

The Skinny: There's really no question here for the top two. The Ping sisters will take the top two spots and some ways back will be a very good battle for third between a series of young women averaging times in the mid 20-minute range, including Madilyn Simon, Annika Juenemann, Kaylee Arndt, and Nelson Malia. The top team spot will be close between Dover-Eyota and Winona Cotter, as our virtual meet projects the two to be within 7 points of each other with Dover taking the slight win, although it is worth mentioning that  in their last matchup at the P-E-M Invitational, Cotter took Dover-Eyota down by 39 points.
