Stillwater returns three of their scoring seven runners that helped the team finish second at last year's State Meet. This team is led by Addison Stansbury, who at times looked almost unbeatable and ultimately finished seventh at last years state meet. Although he did not have strong finish to his track season, there is no denying the talent he possess to compete for the top individual spot. Ethan Vargas and Lars Dewall also return as top 50 runners from last year's state meet. Jared Brandt and Johann Noer return with sub-17 times as well despite not having any varsity cross country experience. The question for Stillwater will be their back-end depth, which appears weaker than what we've become used to from the powerhouse program (only 14 returning runners have personal records of better than 18 minutes). But rest assured, with head coach Scott Christensen leading the Stillwater Machine, this team will be another one competing for a State Championship come November.
