Willmar
Willmar returns all 7 scoring runners from last years team that finished 12th at the state meet. Hudeife Mire and Mason Wendt have been the leaders of this team for the past two seasons and will be counted on again to bring this team back to the state meet. Hudeife Mire suffered through some setbacks prior to the track season last year, but managed to finish strong; if he can carry that over to cross country, he will provide some low points for this Willmar team. Wendt should be right with Hudeife to form a formidable one-two punch. Lone senior Muhyadin Mohamed can run with both as well. Given the experience they gained from State last year and the times they posted during track, do not be surprised to see this team upset many teams ahead of them in the polls come November. This is a deep team that, under Jerry Popp's direction, always seem to compete with the best in the state.
