Ethan Marshall, St. Thomas Aquinas (KS)
The returning tenth-place finisher and fifth-best returner from the Heartland meet last year, Ethan Marshall will certainly be the biggest name to watch for a runner not from either Minnesota or Wisconsin. This year, Marshall has consistently been running sub-16 races, and other than a 12th-place finish at the rim Rock Classic back in September, has been very impressive. Among his many wins, he also has a 5th place finish at the Roy Griak Invite with a time of 16:06 against many of the same runners he'll be battling on Sunday, but his season-best run of 15:33 to win the KSHSAA State Championships are a clear indication he is in good enough shape to take a top-five spot.
