It was True Team Sections last week, and all the top teams and all the top runners battled for the rights to qualify for this week's True Team State Championships in Stillwater. One of those teams to qualify was Hopkins High School, and one of their standouts was the Florida-bound Joe Fahnbulleh. Last Tuesday, Fahnbulleh took command of his heat of the 100m dash and proceeded to obliterate the 100m dash state record, formerly held by Evan McClellan, by thirteen-hundreths of a second. With his time of 10.23, Fahnbulleh now has the fifth-fastest all-conditions 100m dash time in the nation this year, and it is the fourth event for which Fahnbulleh holds a state record (adding to the 200m, 4x100m, and 4x200m).
