Who won The Week? Elizabeth Acheson Breaks Out

It was a big week for Northfield/ARTech's Elizabeth Acheson, and one that began with somewhat unexpected results. Running the open 800 meters for the just the second recorded time in our database, the 400m star out of Northfield became just the 22nd athlete in state history to break 2:12 in the event, and at the same meet ran a solid 100m dash as well to showcase her range. Later in the week at the Big 9 Championships, Acheson ran her more traditional events in winning the 400m dash with the 3rd-fastest time in the state this year, and helping Northfield's 4x400m relay achieve a season best and win another conference title.
