Who Won The Week? Madison Schmidt Achieves The Remarkable

Perhaps we should have seen it coming sooner, but it's hard not to be shocked and amazed by the accomplishment of Blaine's Madison Schmidt. One week after the state record in the boys 100m went down, Schmidt skyrocketed past one more by becoming the first high school girl in Minnesota state history to leap over six feet. The defending Class AA and Hamline Elite Meet champion had a previous personal best of 5-9, making the three-inch improvement even more remarkable, and with another full year before the junior graduates, we might even see her achieve higher heights!
