Cole Nowacki, East Grand Forks, Sr.
Coming into his final cross country season, Cole Nowacki will look to improve upon his 10th place State XC finish in 2018. After a 10th place State Meet result in the 1600m in 2018, he narrowly missed getting back there this spring with a 3rd place at the section 8A final in a time that was half a second shy of his PR of 4:34.00. He improved his 800m PR this spring and his XC PR of 16:00.20 is the third best time in the class of 2020 and fifth among all returners this fall. His teammate, junior Tyson Mahar did finish one spot above him at the 8A section meet last fall. The progression of this duo could influence Nowacki's individual growth as East Grand Forks tries to repeat their 2018 runner-up sectional result and team state berth.
