Anoka District Early Bird

FULL MEET RESULTS

BOYS RECAP: Champlin Park took the team win led by Connor Preston's individual victory in 16:53.9. The Rebels were just five points ahead of Blaine who kept up with Champlin until losing four points in the final scoring spot. Overall it was a tight meet with just eight points separating the winner from fourth place.

SCORES: Champlin Park (56), Blaine (61), Coon Rapids (63), Anoka (64)

GIRLS RECAP: Andover earned a clear cut win putting three in the top ten and all five in the top 19. Anoka eighth grader Kaelyn Nelson won in 19:53.2 as the only sub-20 racer on the day, leading her team to a runner up finish. Andover went 2-3-4 individually led by junior Alyssa Gerth in 20:10.8.

Lac qui Parle Valley Early Bird

FULL MEET RESULTS

BOYS RECAP: Host LQPV nearly perfect scored their own meet going 1-2-3-4-6, led by junior Sather Zeke winning in 17:26.6. Benson's Magaard Will broke up the perfect score finishing fifth in 18:38.4 and helping his team to a second place finish.

SCORES: LQPV (16), Benson (74), Montevideo (94), Morris/Chokio (98)

GIRLS RECAP: Morris senior Maddie Carrington won the girls 4k in 16:46.6 which served to carry the Tigers to the team win by a narrow five points over host LQPV. Morris had all five scorers in the top 11. LQPV freshman Anika Fernholz was second in 17:07.5.

North Shore Challenge

FULL MEET RESULTS

BOYS RECAP: North Shore Co-op took home the title at their home meet with three in the top ten and individual winner Brenden Seipke going 17:29.6. Coach ranked North Shore was the clear top team winning by 35 points and posting a team average 30 seconds better than second place Crommwell-Wright who's top finisher freshman Noah Foster took second in 17:53.0.

SCORES: North Shore (37), Crommwell-Wright (72), Proctor (80), Duluth East (93)

GIRLS RECAP: North Shore was also the top team on the girls side in a more narrow 11 point win over second place Duluth East. North Shore sophomore Autumn Smith took the individual win in 21:28.3 edging out Carlton junior Emma Cid who was second in 21:34.4.

Loyola Cleveland Invitational

FULL MEET RESULTS

BOYS RECAP: As expected Mitch Johnstone ran away from the field for a nearly 60 second victory in 16:07.5. In a tight battle with Tri-City United, Johnstone's victory was a key in Mankato Loyola's team victory in its home invite. Tri-City senior Austin Antony was second in 17:04.0.

SCORES: Mankato Loyola (26), Tri-City United (33), LeSueur-Henderson (86)

GIRLS RECAP: Waterville-Elysian-Morristown took the team win with their top four finishing in the top ten overall. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop was second as a team, led by individual winner, junior Grace Feder in 19:44.5. W-E-M was led by second place finisher, freshman Addison Peed in 19:57.6. 

SCORES: Waterville-Elysian-Morristown (41), Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (56), LeSueur-Henderson (60)

Princeton Invitational

FULL MEET RESULTS

BOYS RECAP: Elk River placed three in the top six and used a 1:01 split to take the team title at Princeton. Class A coaches ranked Heritage Christian senior Travis Miller took the individual win in 16:56.1. Princeton senior Ryan Young was second in 17:24.4. Elk River seniors Adam Boekermann and Mles Olofson were third and fourth and that proved to be the difference in the team scoring even though Heritage Christian also had three runners in the top eight.

SCORES: Elk River (47), Heritage Christian (60), Cambridge-Isanti (117)

GIRLS RECAP:  Becker cruised to a team win, putting four in front of second place Elk River's no. 1 runner. Becker senior Lexi Dehmer took the individual title in 20:29.8 just ahead of Spectrum freshman Molly Novotny's 20:33.6. Second place team Elk River posted a solid 55 second split but only had one runner in the top ten and was over a minute behind Becker in average time.

FULL MEET RESULTS

BOYS RECAP: La Crescent-Hokah took the team title with four in the top nine for a 71 point win over second place Byron. Jordan senior Symon Keiser took the individual race in 17:36.2 with La Crescent-Hokah senior Jake Boudreau second in 17:59.7. While La Crescent-Hokah won comfortably, the race for second between Byron, Rochester Home School, Stewartville and Jordan was separated by just six points. 

SCORES: La Crescent-Hokah (47), Byron (118), Rochester Home School (121), Stewartville (122), Jordan (124)

GIRLS RECAP: A three way race between Jordan, Stewartville and Rochester Home School game down to the wire. Jordan edged Stewartville by four points for the win with Rochester Home School just five points back in third. Stewartville senior Kailee Malone won the race in 20:40 while Jordan freshman Basia Babcock was second in 21:05.4. Jordan defeated Stewartville in three of five scoring spots in their win while Stewartville took second on the strength of a seven point advantage in the second scoring spot.

SCORES: Jordan (70), Stewartville (74), Rochester Home School (79)

Thief River Falls Invitational

FULL MEET RESULTS

BOYS RECAP: East Grand Forks used superior strength in the first four scoring spots to edge second place Roseau at Thief River Falls on Thursday. EGF took the top three spots led by junior Tyson Mahar in 16:54.7, followed by senior Cole Nowacki and sophomore Jonathan Krueger. Roseau was led by senior Kyle Erickson in sixth place overall and fifth among team scorers. Though EGF was very solid up front their fifth man was back in 24th place, over 4 minutes behind Mahar and that gap will need to close to keep them higher up the standings larger meets.

SCORES: E Grand Forks (39), Roseau (44), Thief River Falls (63)

GIRLS RECAP: East Grand Forks also took home the team win on the girls side with their top five in the top eight overall. Thief River Falls senior Jerzie Finstad was the individual winner in 20:44.5. East Grand Forks was led by freshman Lydia Floden in 21:03.8.
