Isaiah Anderson
Mankato East
---
Anderson not only led the Mankato East boys to their first Section 2AA title, but also to their first Class AA state title in one of the biggest surprises of the season. They were the 5th ranked Class AA team coming into the season but ended up surpassing all the competitors on their way to a state title.

The Mankato East boys were led every step of the way by Isaiah Anderson. Anderson led the Mankato boys as their #1 runner at all 10 5K races he ran this fall. He ran a personal best time of 15:45.78 to win his 2nd straight Big 9 Conference title.
That was his first time breaking 16 minutes in the 5K. A feat that he repeated at the Section 2AA Championships to finish as the runner-up and at the State Meet where he finished 9th overall in Class AA.
