PIPESTONE — On a nearly perfect day for high school track and field competition, athletes from across Section 3A sought to perform their best Thursday at Paulsen Field in hopes of qualifying for next week’s Minnesota State Meet at Hamline University, June 8-9. (via )
ST. PAUL — For the fourth consecutive time, Worthington’s Sarah Cham stood on the award’s podium at Klas Field on the campus of Hamline University after again placing in the triple jump at the Class A state track and field meet. (via www.dglobe.com)
The Minnesota State High School League Track and Field State Tournament will be hosted at Klas Field on the Hamline University campus on June 10-11, 2011. On June 10th the meet will begin with the Class AA 3200 race, followed by preliminary heats in several events. Field events will also begin at 9am. The Class A athletes will take the field at 3pm closing with the finals in the 3200 meter run at 4:50 pm (girls) and 5:05 pm (boys). This also marks the first MSHSL State Track and Field Meet with wheelchair events. Below is a quick preview into each event by class.
LUVERNE — It was a beautiful early spring day Tuesday for the annual running of the Cardinal Relays and athletes from eight high school track and field teams took advantage of the near-perfect weather conditions to turn in some stellar early-season performances. (via www.dglobe.com)
SLAYTON — Double individual first-place finishes Friday by Danny Rodriguez and Brandon Berger helped lift the Worthington Trojans to a 19-point victory over Fairmont in the boys’ division of Murray County Central’s Early Bird Invitational high school track and field meet. (via www.dglobe.com)

ADRIAN — Three of Minnesota’s best boys’ cross country runners covered the grueling 5,000-meter course at the Adrian Country Club Tuesday afternoon in less than 17 minutes, as 113 runners — representing 21 teams — completed the varsity race of the Dragon Invitational. (via www.dglobe.com)
