The Skinny: With the graduations of Jake Paron and Ethan Olson, and with Wyatt Rauvola not attending this year, the race is Noah Smith's for the taking. The new lowstick for North Shore will be the strong favorite for the win after taking 32nd at State last year and helping North Shore to a semi-stunning 5th-place finish. He's also projected to help the team defend their home turf against Duluth East in the small meet, but it could be a tight battle.

Top Individuals: Molly Weberg (Duluth East, 19:49), Rebecca Miles (Duluth East, 19:53), Sydney Binsfield (Proctor, 20:03), Autumn Smith (North Shore, 20:13)

The Skinny: There may be only six teams attending this meet, but three of them are quite solid. North Shore and Proctor represented Section 7A at State last year, while Duluth East has one of the most impressive histories of any school in Minnesota. The deciding factor between these three excellent teams could be as simple as the athlete who wins, and someone from any one of those three schools could do so.
