Ten Class A Boys Teams With Shots At Winning In 2018

Perham

The powerhouse Perham program has not only never missed State since 2001, but they have not ever finished lower than 4th in all those years. Last year, they won their sixth State championship with a young team that remains young even after the graduation of last year's individual 12th-place finisher Carson Speicher, thanks to having four juniors and a freshman in their top six fastest returners. Senior Clayton Anderson will take over the reigns as Perham's primary front-runner, and a potential top-ten finisher, while juniors Brandon O'Hara, Bailey Evenson, and Chase Belka all have All-State potential. On top of it all, Perham's returning 1-5 spread is only 57 seconds. On paper, Perham looks very difficult to beat, and they are helped immensely by having the best depth in all of Class A as well. Title number seven is well within the Yellowjacket's grasp.
