It may be a little unfair to label 2017 as a "rebuilding year" for Mora (who was, at the time, coming off three consecutive State Championships), especially since they ultimately finished 11th at State and three of the athletes who ran on their State squad were, in fact, seniors. But the fact remains that the progress and development Mora made as a team last year has put them into excellent position to not only continue their streak of 12 consecutive trips to the state meet, but even to put them back in the conversation for a podium finish at State. Led by junior Cooper Lennox who is one of the best individuals in Class A, senior 800m State qualifier Nathan Williams, and some solid depth, and combined with the winning culture that Mora has obviously developed, and you know that Mora cannot be counted out for a great finish in November.
