BOYS TEAM CHAMPS: EAGAN | INDIVIDUAL WINNER: Harris Anderson, Math & Science Acad, 16:10.4

RECAP: Eagan took home the victory over a solid field at the Cowbell Classic on Thursday. The Wildcats were powered with four runners in the top six just behind individual champ Math & Science Academy senior and class A no. 6 ranked Harris Anderson in 16:10.4. Eagan averaged a tough 16:47 to earn a 9 point win over second place Farmington who nearly overcame the Wildcats front runners using a 64 second split and 16:56 average in second place. Eagan was led by senior Paul Schmitter in second place followed by junior Sam Marshall in third. Farmington senior Noah Revels was fourth with Eagan junior Michael Marshall in fifth. Overall, 11 runners went under 17 minutes on the day.

GIRLS TEAM CHAMPS: FARMINGTON | INDIVIDUAL WINNER: Anna Fenske, Farmington, 18:29.6

RECAP: A fist full of single digit sticks, including an individual win by junior Anna Fenske carried MNXCCA no. 12 Farmington to the victory on their home course. Fenske, currently no. 3 ranked, won decisively over promising Lakeville North seventh grader Claire Vukovics who jumped into the coaches polls at no. 9. after her runner-up finish to Fenske last week at the Applejack Invite. Farmington quickly ran eighth grader Mariah Fenske and junior Laura McGregor across after Vukovics taking three of the top five positions. Rochester Century sophomore Kennedy Speer rounded out the top five. Eagan was the team runner-up, edging third place Rochester Century by a single point.

BOYS TEAM CHAMPS: IRONDALE | INDIVIDUAL WINNER: Abdikafi Khalif, Apple Valley, 16:53.9

RECAP: Irondale was victorious at the STMA Invite putting five in the top 14 pull past second place Apple Valley. Apple Valley sophomore Abdikafi Khalif won the individual race, bettering STMA senior Kyle Swenson by 12 seconds. Four teams had a pair of runners in the top ten and third place Rogers had a third across before Irondale but no one could match the Knights split of just one minute. Irondale sophomore Felix Ongara, Apple Valley junior Maquanet Collins and Saint Louis Park junior Nebyu Bekele rounded out the top five individuals.

GIRLS TEAM CHAMPS: SAINT MICHAEL ALBERTVILLE | INDIVIDUAL WINNER: Ali Weimer, Saint Michael Albertville, 19:20.6

RECAP: No. 3 ranked St Michael Albertville ran away from the field with a slim 21 point score to win their home meet led by sophomore, no. 4 ranked Ali Weimer's individual title. The Knights took the win with all five scorers in the top eight despite not running no. 6 ranked Katie Sigerud. Totino-Grace junior Emilie Meyer was second followed by senior Paige McAloon and freshmen Emma Windingland and Avery O'Rourke to round out the top five. St Louis Park was the team runner-up.

BOYS TEAM CHAMP: MINNETONKA | INDIVIDUAL WINNER:  Max Lauerman, Minnetonka, 16:35.4

RECAP: No. 9 ranked Minnetonka ran to a team win led by individual winner, senior Max Lauerman. The Skippers put six in the top ten to cruise to a near perfect score win. They won with a narrow 55 second split and 17:06 average. Lauerman was followed by senior teammate Reese Thompson and Josh Koehnen in second and third. Burnsville junior Matthew Krzmarzick was fourth followed by Minnetonka senior Harry Koeppen in fifth. No. 10 ranked Prior Lake was second, running without top athlete Gabe Smit.

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: MINNETONKA | INDIVIDUAL WINNER: Ella Dufault, Waseca, 19:08.5

RECAP: Minnetonka was also the best team in the girls race as well with their top seven running in the top ten overall. Waseca's talented freshman and no. 8 ranked Ella Dufault was the individual winner but was followed by a string of four straight Skippers over about a 30 second span. Minnetonka was led by sophomore Kate Leblanc followed by eighth graders Ella Graham and Elizabeth Weider and junior Anna Cherian in second through fifth overall. Lakeville South was the second place team.
