Nyalaam Jumps to New Heights as a Gopher

---

Nyalaam Jok graduated Annandale High School last year with an impressive resume that included being a 3x Class A State Champion in the high jump, a 1x State Champion in the long jump, going undefeated her senior season in the high jump, tying the state record for the high jump and winning a plethora of sections and conference titles.

After graduating she has gone on to stay home to compete for the University of Minnesota. Now there as a true freshman, she is already breaking records as a Gopher.

The University of Minnesota track and field saw true freshman Jok break the high jump school record on Wednesday night at the St. Thomas Tommie Twilight meet. There Jok posted three personal best jumps to post a final mark of 6' 1.25" to break the old record of 6' 0.75" held by Taylor Wiebke.
