Adaylia Borgmeier of Mankato East was one of the breakout stars of the 2022 Minnesota track and field season. Last year she set two state records in the 100m and 200m wheelchair events and won three state titles, all in her first track and field season.
This year she has stepped up her game again and has already broken her own 100m and 200m state records, and yesterday at the Section 2AA True Team meet, she shattered the girl's 800m wheelchair state record.
Borgmeier crossed the line in her 800m race with a time of 2:13.28 to shatter the previous record of 2:27.49 set by Rose Hollerman in 2011.
