As impressive as it was to see a guy like Geno finish 3rd in the state as a Freshman, Emmet Anderson wasn't too far off, as he was also a Freshman, and finished 6th in the state not too far behind Uhrbom. When looking at Anderson's times, you notice a trend. His PR's (4:45 1600m, 10:01 3200m, 16:06 5k) show that he is someone who gets better with longer distances, and has exceptional endurance. So although he may have only been 14th in the state in the 3200 (which is still very impressive as just a Freshman), he is clearly someone who seems to shine more during Cross Country. Last year, he won 9 total races throughout the year, in the 12 that he raced in, which is a very impressive feat. Anderson definitely has the capability to compete with the best in the state, as he showed last year, and just being a Freshman, he'll continue to improve.
