Ten Class A Boys Gunning For The Win In 2018

Mike Kvaal will be an interesting name to follow during the upcoming season. Kvaal wasn't up with the top in the state during Cross Country, as he finished 36th with a time of 16:57 (his first race ever to dip under 17 minutes), but it was at the State Meet in the 3200 when he broke out with a 12 second PR of 9:52, to finish 6th in the state. He also had a very respectable 4:39 1600 PR that was clocked at just a small invitational early in May. Lac Qui Parle Valley is another school that has competed at the state level consistently, and took 4th as a team last year, so there is no doubt that as he is coached by proven coaches, he'll keep improving. Kvaal will be taking over the top spot on the team with the graduation of Keiser Fretley. (5th in XC State '17) Kvaal's PR of 16:29 is one that could drop very quickly this upcoming season.
