Eleven Class A Girls Who Want To Make History In 2018

Kayla Christopherson, Austin Pacelli-Lyle, Sr

Kayla Christopherson might be the most consistently good Class A runner year in and year out. Now entering her senior season, Christopherson has collected four consecutive All-State honors, placing top ten in each of the last three seasons. In track, Christopherson qualified for State in the 3200m via standard, eventually taking 8th for her second track All-State honor. At her section meet, her time of 11:21 was less than two seconds off of her PR from 2016. As a senior, Christopherson also has more experience than the majority of the top Class A runners, which should provide an advantage come postseason. Given her history, expect Christopherson to close out her prep career with another podium finish this fall. And if she's in peak shape, she too could contend to fill out the top five.
