Ali Weimer, Saint Michael-Albertville, Fr
The theme of young talent continues with Ali Weimer who will be just a freshman this year. As an eighth grader, she finished in ninth place at the Cross Country State Championships last year. Weimer went on to win the open 5,000m race at the 2017 Heartland Cross Country Regional meet with a personal best of 17:49.65. She followed that up with a seventh place finish in the 3200m at the track and field State meet this year. More impressively, that was only her first year competing in cross country and track. As she gains experience running in these top meets, she looks to improve upon her previous performances and work her way into the mix of these top girls.
