Ten Class AA Girls Ready To Challenge For The Title In 2018

Lauren Peterson, Farmington, Sr

Right by Anna Fenske's side is her teammate Lauren Peterson. They have been a strong duo for three years and they both have been a factor for a title in whatever race they are in. Like Fenske, Peterson has been around for a while and came in second behind Fenske at the 2016 cross country State Championships. Following that performance, Peterson outleaned Covert at the line during the 2017 State Track Meet to end up victorious. At the 2018 State Track Meet, Covert was the one to best Peterson as she finished in second place. Just like Fenske, Peterson has qualified for the Nike Cross Nationals meet for two consecutive years, both years grabbing the last individual qualifying spot at the Heartland Regional meet. With it being her senior year this year and not having a cross country State title to her name, it would be surprising if Peterson wasn't gunning for that title come the State Meet.
