Caroline Sassan, Wayzata, Jr
Caroline Sassan adds to the group of teammate duos that this top group is full of. The Wayzata duo of Atkinson and Sassan could pull off an impressive finish at this year's State Championships. Sassan focused on the 1600m and 4x800m at the State Meet this past season. She finished fourth and second in those events, respectively. Following a seventh place finish at the 2017 State Cross Country Championships, she competed at Nike Cross Nationals after her team qualified for the event. Sassan is relatively new to the sport as this will only be her second cross country season and she has only competed in two track and field seasons. Being so new to the sport means that she has a lot of room for improvement which is promising for her going into this year's cross country season.
