Hayden Bills a senior at Rosemount came into the 2023 Minnesota track and field season with two goals in mind and that was to break both the state shot put and discus records.
Well, one down and one to go.
On his fourth and final throw of the meet, Bills broke Thomas Andersons state shot put record throw of 65' 8" with a monster throw of 66' 8.75" at the MSHSCA State True Team Championships.

With only four throws there was little margin for error for Bills if he wanted to break the record at the state true team championships. His first throw of 64' 4.25" was plenty enough to win the meet, but as we know Bills has had records on his mind all season.
